My wife and I are always looking for good Peruvian food. Her family is Peruvian, so she is pretty critical of Peruvian dishes - as am I. Pollo Factory is HANDS DOWN the BEST Peruvian joint we have found in the entire D.C. Metro Area. The El Pollo Rico comparison is out of place, I personally think EPR doesn't even compare. The chicken is awesome. The Yucca is fried to perfection. The Chicharones are hands down the best I've ever had. I think next time I'm going to dig into the anticuchos.

I've gotta be one of the luckiest kids around. I work in Falls Church and a co-worker brings me free El Pollo Rico (friends with a manager). Then I come home and live 2 minutes from something just as delicious. Now, since I only eat EPR as carryout- 15-20 minutes after it arrives- I might be missing out on some of the crispiness that other people are talking about. As far as flavor, fries (yes, I LIKE the fries) and yellow sauce (I DON'T like spicy), however, they are downright identical. Best in Sterling.

Finger-licking good! I tried this place after reading the yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. I ordered a half-bird with black beans and rice for less than $8. The chicken was very flavorful. The skin was slightly crisp and the meat moist. I like spicy food so I enjoyed the green sauce with the chicken and the rice and black beans. I have eaten Peruvian food once before but I enjoyed this meal much more. I got my meal to go and it came out quickly and hot. My plan was to make it 2 meals but I couldn't stop after the first quarter. Needless to say this spot is new favorite of mine.
